Die drei Musiker und DJs Johannes Ehmann, Gregor Pottmeier und Krischan Wesenberghaben schon 1995 ihre erste 12-Inch ‘Ruhrschnellweg’ veröffentlicht. Nach diversen weiteren großen schwarzen AScheiben erscheint mit ‘American Ruhr’ nun ihr erstes Album. Entstanden ist sie wohl in einer Gelsenkirchener Trinkhalle. Eine Ruhrgebiets-Institution auch gerne kurz Bude genannt. Aus dieser Bude schwappen nun 15 großartige, wärmende und groovende Tracks. Diese pendeln zwischen spät abends und früh morgens. Zwischen Downbeat und House. Zwischen verschwitzten Körpern und Tagtraum. Eine Platte zum Hören und/oder Tanzen. Ich schieb den Silberling gleich noch mal rein.
